What does "One or more aoParams were not provided." mean?

These messages mean a token such as {aoParam:Region} or $$StudentId$$ had no value to fill it in.

Errors appear on the process's Test tab, in the step details on the History tab (click a red step badge), and on the dashboard (hover over the ! pill). In the messages below, … stands for a name, address or value from your own set-up.

In dataset filters

MessageWhat to do
One or more aoParams were not provided.A parameter used in the dataset's filters or query parameters had no value when the process ran. Add a default under the process's Parameters, or fill it in on the Schedule a job form. The run fails.
One or more aoDynamic placeholders could not be resolved. An {aoDynamic…} token is mistyped. It must be Minutes, Hours, Days or DaysAtMidnight followed by a whole number, for example {aoDynamicDays:-7}.
One or more aoLastRun placeholders could not be resolved. An {aoLastRun:…} token is mistyped. Check the name, for example {aoLastRun:SuccessCompleted}; capitals matter.
Enter a value for: Region, then click Run test.Shown on the Test tab. Type a value in the box for each name listed and run the test again.

In rule lookups

MessageWhat to do
Unresolved parameter(s) … in rule dataset query filter. (dataset '…') or Unresolved parameter(s) … in rule dataset request. (dataset '…')A rule needs to look up data using a field the record doesn't have, or that's empty for this record. Check the field is in the process dataset's Select list with exactly that name, or add a process parameter. That record fails; others carry on.

In templates and API requests

MessageWhat to do
Unresolved parameter in Recipient (or Recipient CC, Subject, Body, Sender)Shown on the Test tab. A token in an email or message template doesn't match any value. Click Inputs on the row to see the names available, and correct the token. Names are case-sensitive.
Unresolved parameter(s) … in API request '…' (endpoint). The request was not sent.As above, for an API request. The location in brackets tells you whether it's the endpoint, the body or both.
Unresolved {aoDynamic} date placeholder in API request '…' (body). The request was not sent.Correct the {aoDynamic…} token's spelling.

Unfilled tokens in emails and messages don't stop a real send; the token is sent as typed. Always check the Test tab after changing a template.
